Optics are simple we make it obvious

We are an optics company absent of the bs promises, overly technical terminology and needlessly broad product offerings. We have a streamlined product offering, fixed markup, and super efficient distribution mechanism.

What We Offer

Quality Optics and no BS

We've been around the industry for years, and after seeing all the waste and stupidty behind ridiculously high prices for basically simple components, we decided enough was enough.

Controlled Offering

In reality most networks operate on an offering of 25 or so SKU's - so why do most optics companies stock thousands?

Transparent Communication

Optics are essentially light bulbs, we dismiss with the overly complex descriptions and just help you find what you need.

Controlled Adders

We have a fixed adder for all of our orders, paying % commissions just encourages bloat. We charge in line with the value we add.

How it typically goes

Whether its an OEM or a bargain basement thrid party provider, the timeline is basically the same. Buy the same stuff from the same factory and overcharge you for it.

Uncoded Optics ordered from Taiwan or China
Uncoded Optics ordered from Taiwan or China

Almost all major OEM's and third party providers order from the same handful of factories in Asia. These products are just 'dumb metal' or uncoded optics that are shipped to the US and coded here.

Optics are 'coded and tested' in the US
Optics are 'coded and tested' in the US

Don't be fooled by American flag stickers and promises that 'all our labs are based in the US'. While the coding in most instances is performed on the continent that procedure is hardly what most people think it is. To code an optic you insert it into a machine select that coding you'd like to install and remove the SFP, it is now coded

Fancy websites and photos are made
Fancy websites and photos are made

This is where the 'magic happens'. Most optic companies like to find alot of technical looking gear to have in the background of their employee photos, but this is all bullshit. The gear required to code and test optics can, in most instances fit on a small desk. This is made all the more hilarious when you consider how often you visit the website of your optical manufacturers.

Add a ridiculous markup
Add a ridiculous markup

Most optics, even budget brand third party alternatives are marked up at least 100%. Extensively boring product descriptions are written to make it seem like some value has been added since these SFPs were unpakced from the boxes in Asia, and you - the buyer have this enormous imagined expense passed onto you.
